Ghana’s Minister for Communication, Ursula Owusu Ekuful has prompted that sim cards will be re-registered and the ones which haven’t been registered will be blocked.
She posted it on her Facebook page saying, the re-registration of SIM will begin on October 1, 2021, and will continue for six months.
She, also, urged Ghanaians to all re-register their SIM cards to avoid the unsecured experience of having their SIMs blocked.
The exercise will allow the country to monitor and track down persons who use their phones for criminal activities and also get rid of fraud in the country.
