The flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Mahama, says he is excited about the 8th position on the ballot paper for the presidential election.
His remarks follow the voting process carried out by the electoral commission on September 20, 2024.
This activity was somewhat chaotic because there were concerns about a ball having a special feature that could undermine the process’s integrity.
The committee decided to swap out the impacted ball, and restarted the process from the beginning.
The NDC chose the number 8, affirming their eighth spot on the ballot.
In a Facebook post, Mr Mahama mentioned that if they emerge victorious in the upcoming presidential elections, the number eight symbolizes hope and change.
“I am excited that we picked No. 8 on the ballot for the upcoming presidential election. Let’s make this a number of hope and change on December 7,” he said.
