Fast-rising Ghanaian singer, songwriter and producer, Amaarae has placed her two cents on the controversial #FixtheCountry campaign ongoing on social media by concerned Ghanaians including celebrities.
#FixtheCountry’ which was initiated by Twitter influencer, KalyJay has garnered a lot of support by musicians, socialites, actors and actresses and some media personalities in Ghana calling on the leadership of the country to solve a series of problems such as unemployment, high utility tariffs, lack of water, fuel price hikes, high cost of rent and others.
However, in Amaarae’s opinion, the campaign will have no effect on politicians and she suggested another approach that will trigger an immediate response to the woes of the average Ghanaian.
According to the talented songstress, politicians don’t care about the cry of Ghanaians but will show concern quickly if one of their children is kidnapped.
Sighted on her Twitter page, she wrote;
“Politicians don’t gaf about your internet protests. Kidnap one of they kids or sth.”
