Ghanaian entertainers win big at the just ended 2021 edition of the International Reggae and World Music Awards (IRAWMA).
The 2021 edition which happens to be the 39th IRAWMA saw four Ghanaians making its big four wins on the night. Among them were Shatta Wale, Sarkodie, DJ Switch, and Kwame Yeboah.
Shatta Wale won the ‘Virtual Entertainer of The Year’ award. He won ahead of Beenie Man, Buju Banton, and others. Sarkodie also took home the ‘Best Virtual Showcase/Concert of The Year’ with his Black over Concert even ahead of the popular Reggae Sunfest. For other awards, young disc jockey, DJ Switch, was named the ‘Best Young Entertainer of The Year’ while Kwame Yeboah emerged as the ‘Instrumentalist of The Year’.
The international award scheme was held on Sunday, May 16, 2021.
