A key member of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Gabby Otchere-Darko, has castigated the Ghana’s Black Stars for their poor performance against Gabon during the ongoing African Cup of Nations.
A fine late strike from Jim Allevinah gave Gabon a huge 1-1 draw against Ghana and put them on the cusp of the knockouts at the Africa Cup of Nations.
According to Gabby Otchere Darko in a tweet following the final whistle in yesterday’s game, Milovan Rajevac, the Black Stars’ coach, he claims, is a ‘disaster’ who was content with the team leading by one goal to nil.
Gabby tweeted following the match, “Ghana deserved to lose. That straightforward. There was only one moment of genius – the Ayew goal.
“The remainder was a jumble of aimless mediocrity. Quite frankly, the coach is a disaster. He was content to sit dangerously on a one-nil lead, and it ended predictably in our favor. Sad!”
We’ll play our final game against Comoros in the hope of securing a berth in the next round.
Ghana did not deserve to win. That simple. Only one moment of brilliance – the Ayew goal. The rest was a bundle of rudderless mediocre. The coach, frankly, is a disaster. He was happy to sit dangerously on a 1 nil advantage and it predictably ended to our disadvantage. Sad!
