Sefadzi Abena Amesu, better known by her stage as Sefa, has weighed in on the ongoing controversy about TikTok stars promoting musicians’ songs.
Sefa who is signed to Black Avenue Records claims that it is a myth that TikTok is a major player in the Ghanaian music industry, responsible for making songs become popular.
In her view, if you release a tune without creating a dance challenge for it, your song has nowhere to go, in her perspective, TikTok is destroying the business rather than helping it.
Asantewaa, a well-known TikTok celebrity from Ghana, implied that TikTok is now the ideal platform for music marketing and that TikTokers are now the best plugs (board of directors) for music promotion when she made this statement on “Ultimate Fm.”
“The shortest relationship I’ve ever had lasted two days. We chatted, and he said, ‘I like you, and I replied ‘I like you,’ but that was it because I’m not someone who forces things, so if you don’t make me feel your presence, I’ll simply ignore you,” she said.
