The Ghanaian U-17 Women’s National Team won’t be permitted to participate in the following two African FIFA U17 Women qualifiers games after being found guilty of age fraud.
Reports reveal that two Ghanaian players lied about their ages and that resulted in a $100,000 fine for the national team squad.
Morocco protested, claiming Nancy Amoh and Rasheeda Shahadu falsified their birthdates and were over the legal age of 17. This led to FIFA’s decision.
Due to their acts on behalf of Black Maiden, Nancy Amoh and Rasheeda Shahadu, who are both over the legal drinking age of 17, were disqualified from the World Cup qualifying matches.
At the Accra Sports Stadium, both players participated in Ghana’s 2-0 victory over Morocco.
Ghana was already ousted from this year’s World Cup after losing to Morocco on penalties, 4-2, after the North Africans had rallied from a 2-0 deficit during regulation.
