Colleagues of celebrated Ghanaian actress, Jackie Appiah have come out to say that the accusations against her are unfounded after photos of her opulent home were posted online and the remarks that followed.
Actor and founder of the Ghana Movie Awards, Fred Nuamah, is the most recent to do so as he comes to the defense of Jackie Appiah.
Speaking in an interview with OKAY FM’s Abeiku Santana, Fred Nuamah revealed that Jackie Appiah, in addition to being an actress and a brand ambassador, has real estate investments.
Fred Nuamah disclosed that Jackie Appiah began investing in the real estate industry fairly early in her career.
After being supported by several people in the entertainment sector who are close to Jackie, Fred stands up for his colleague.
“Jackie Appiah has been blessed by God. When we were out renting apartments in Cantoments, Jackie never did so. She will not be happy with me sharing this but she has six or seven apartments across Cantonments, East Legon and Labone which she rents out to people. She stayed in her mom’s house throughout, so what do you think she was using her money for?
“Yes, she’s made money from movies and advertising, but most of her money came from renting out her apartments. She’s into real estate. While other actresses were renting apartments for 2000 cedis to live in, she was investing in her real estate business.”
