Hiplife artist, Guru, if he were to get involved in politics, it would only be for personal gain because he has heard “there’s money in it.”
In an interview with 3Entertainment’s Natalie Baah, Guru has entertained Ghanaians with multiple hit songs and claimed that this and other factors drove him back to school so that he could fulfil his aspirations.
Guru added that his job life shouldn’t ever restrict him to one area of endeavour or stand in the way of his aspirations.
“I’ve gone back to school. You see, I must have the qualification, the certified CV, to stand anywhere or on any grounds to be that guy who is well-educated enough to represent the people,”
“To me, everything is possible. I think I can’t limit my dreams to just doing music alone. There is more to life than just music.” he said.
Emphasising on his political aspiration, Guru said, “It’s possible. So I would love to do that. There’s money in it. People are spending millions of dollars just to win a seat, and based on your popularity, it makes it easier. Having the proper qualifications will help you know this field that you can operate and assess and impact lives.
“For instance, if I become a president right now, I have no knowledge of administration. So how would I handle it? So I’m learning the stats and then using them to deliver. Give them the best of me. So I will represent you someday.”
