STOP SENDING INTERNS AND NSS PERSONNEL TO BUY WAAKYE FOR YOU – Nana Aba Anamoah Warns Companies

The practice of using interns and members of the national service as errand boys and girls by the majority of businesses appears to be on the rise in Ghana.

Award-winning journalist and skilled television personality, Nana Aba Anamoah, has taken notice of this.

The broadcaster claims that the major goals of posting these interns and NSS employees to businesses are to serve, learn, and build their abilities rather than to work as slaves.

Nana Aba Anamoah suggested that businesses should instead provide NSS employees and interns with the necessary training and education to position them for career success.

“The fact that the old laboured during their time to make it to wherever they are now does not mean those coming up need to suffer as they did. I have a challenge with media houses, we do not give enough opportunities to young people. An intern who has been posted is sent on ‘waakye” buying duties until he or she is fed up,” she stated on social media.
