THE HATE IN THE INDUSTRY IS TOO MUCH – Okuraseni Samuel Laments

Okuraseni Samuel, one of TV3’s Mentor’s most notable products, has indicated that the reason why the Ghanaian music business isn’t developing as quickly as it could be.

Okuraseni Samuel claims the music industry is not growing because there is too much animosity among artists.

The dreadlocked musician recently claimed during a conversation with Yenkofie on Connect FM presenter Nana Adjoa Arthur that there is a lot of hostility and hatred in the industry and that if these activities are not halted, the industry will continue to face difficulties.

“There is no love in the industry. We don’t love ourselves. There is so much envy and jealousy among us musicians, and that’s the problem. We hate ourselves, us musicians. Some artists even go to the extreme and pull out from a billed show just because of some lined-up artist.”

He then continued to preach about unity and support in order to elevate Ghanaian music.

“I advise that we support each other with love. We should stop the hypocrisy and consider promoting our culture through our music as Ghanaians. If we support and help each other, we will move forward as an industry and country.”
