If you are among those clamoring for President Akufo-Addo to step down because of the current extreme economic suffering, you should reconsider your position because a member of his presidential staff said that he “is not moving an inch.”
According to Samuel Bryan Buabeng, it is unreasonable to ask Akufo-Addo to resign, because former president, John Dramani Mahama did not step down while Ghanaians were going through more severe hardship during his administration.
In a post on his Twitter page, on November 1, Buabeng pleaded with the numerous Ghanaians calling for the president to step down to stop wasting their time.
“Nana Akufo-Addo is NOT moving an inch! John Dramani Mahama did not resign from office when life became unbearable for Ghanaians, so much so, that Hajia Zenabu, a practising Muslim resorted to pig farming to save her family,” he wrote.
