Rex Omar, a veteran Highlife musician reportedly set to organize a protest against President Akufo-Addo administration.
On November 15, 2022, the protest known as “Arise Ghana” is planned to take place in Accra.
Along with others, he is working with Mensah Thompson, Bernard Mornah, and Bobie Ansah.
They are holding their demonstration in opposition to Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta, and President Akufo-Addo.
Due to the economic situation in the country, they decided to hold this demonstration.
Ghanaians have been lamenting the high expense of life there for a while.
The country’s cost of goods and services has increased as a result of the cedi’s depreciation and the price increase of fuel.
Rex is well recognized as a member of the NDC in addition to his leadership in the Ghanaian music business.
