MY MUSIC CAREER BEGAN IN PRIMARY 5 – Pappy Kojo

Ghanaian rapper Jason Gaisie popularly called Pappy Kojo has said that he started his music career in primary five.

Kofi Kinaata claimed that Takoradi, a neighborhood in the Western Region, was where Ghanaian music first took off and where he first got the inspiration to become a musician.

According to Pappy Kojo, Regie Rockstone and Obrafour were two legends that influenced him as a child and gave him the desire to pursue music.

“Music started while growing up in Takoradi” he reiterated.

When asked about the schools he attended while living in Ghana, Pappy Kojo mentioned Ridge International School as being a carefree and delightful place where he had a lot of freedom and enjoyment.

“Every time I go to Ridge International, I break down, there are so many great memories there; If I was given the chance to go back in time to spend ten minutes back at Ridge International, I would take it. Rap was rap, the competition, the messing, everything was genuine,” he said.

Explaining the former name he used “Teifour Weezy”, he said that Obrafour inspired his former name “four”.

“In Takoradi what Tei means is you take too much of it and I liked the “four” in Obrafour, so I picked it.”
