EC HASN’T PAID OFFICIALS FOR 2020 ELECTIONS – Haruna Iddrisu

Tamale South Member of Parliament Haruna Iddrisu has said that officials who were hired for the 2020 general elections have not been paid by the Electoral Commission (EC).

He asked the Finance Minister and the EC to do the right thing and pay the officials.

“Minister of Finance, the Electoral Commission hasn’t even paid the members it used for the 2020 elections. Go and do what is right for them to pay them,” the former Minority Leader said in Parliament on Thursday, February 23.

Meanwhile, the Minority in Parliament has accused the Chairperson of the EC Jean Mensa of disrespect for not showing up in Parliament herself to brief the House on the proposed Constitutional Instrument (CI) by the EC.
