Efia Odo, a Ghanaian actress and socialite, has stated that she will never worry if Ghanaians do not like the songs she makes.
She claimed that everything she does is motivated by passion rather than a desire to please others, thus she will not be concerned about whether or not people are listening to her songs.
On March 4, 2023, she spoke with MzGee on United Showbiz and described to the host how she would feel if Ghanaians did not listen to her music.
“Oh I will never be worried because I do it from a passionate place, I put passion in it so if Ghanaians or some Ghanaians will not regard me as a musician, there are other people who will regard me as a musician. So, I keep saying it is not by force. There are so many musicians in this country who started to make music more than five years now but they cannot accumulate 2000 views on YouTube”, she stated.
The slay queen continued by saying that she thinks it takes time, patience, and dedication to succeed in the entertainment business. She used the YouTube influencer Kwadwo Sheldon as an example of someone who started out small but has since grown to become one of Ghana’s top YouTube influencers.
Efia Odo told the host, “Look at Kwadwo Sheldon who now has a number of views on YouTube, he started with the YouTube how many years ago so it’s all about build-up, patience, and commitment”.
