Ghanaian dancehall sensation, Shatta Wale has declared that Stonebwoy and Sarkodie, his fellow colleagues, will be performing at his upcoming Freedom Wave Concert, regardless of their personal preferences.
Shatta Wale has been actively promoting the Freedom Wave concert alongside Medikal since October 2022. The event is scheduled to take place from December 20 to 25 at the Accra Sports Stadium, although the full lineup of artists has not yet been disclosed.
In a tweet posted on September 14, 2023, Shatta Wale announced that both rapper Sarkodie and dancehall artist Stonebwoy would be in attendance at the event.
He added that their participation was non-negotiable and emphasized that this move aimed to foster peace ahead of the 2024 national elections.
Shatta Wale’s post comes as a surprise to many, considering how he had been highly critical of the two.
In August, Shatta had in a video claimed that Stonebwoy and Sarkodie could never be bigger than him.
He also labelled Stonebwoy a “curtain raiser”, indicating that he could never be respected like Nigerian star Burna Boy.
It is yet to be seen if Stonebwoy or Sarkodie will be available for the show.
