NPP GOV’T LEAVING BEHIND A BANKRUPT ECONOMY – Minority

The Minority Caucus in Parliament has raised concerns, asserting that the government’s policies have led to a significant increase in the country’s debt, leaving the economy in a precarious state.

Following the presentation of the 2024 budget by Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta, the Minority Leader, Cassiel Ato Forson, criticized the government, stating that the once robust economy handed over by the National Democratic Congress (NDC) had deteriorated under the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

Forson emphasized that the economic conditions have caused hardship for Ghanaians, with the country grappling with high levels of debt.

“Mr. Speaker, the government will be leaving behind a bankrupt economy. The government will be leaving the country in an ‘ahokyere’ state,” he said.
