Former New Patriotic Party (NPP) Parliamentary Candidate for Kpone-Katamanso, Hopeson Adorye has declared that he will no longer be supporting the party’s parliamentary candidate in the general election of 2024.
Adorye, who had previously declared that he would support independent candidate Alan Kyerematen in the presidential election as well as the NPP MP candidate in his constituency, has reportedly chosen to cast his parliamentary vote for an opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) candidate.
“Now, for the parliamentary, I will vote for NDC and vote Alan Kyerematen as president. They said they don’t want my vote. I won’t spoil my vote. If I vote for any other candidate in the presidential election, it will be a wasted vote.
“Alan is the best and in the same vein I will vote for the NDC candidate in the parliamentary election,” he stated in an interview on Hello FM.
His remarks follow a press announcement issued recently and signed by NPP General Secretary Justin Frimpong Kodua, which declared Hopeson Adorye and three other people’s NPP memberships forfeited.
