Popular Actress and TV show host Nana Ama McBrown has donated Gh¢ 10,000 to the Crime Check Foundation for its petty offenders project.
The contribution was made during her cooking show, ‘McBrown’s Kitchen,’ where she interacted with a female ex-convict, aiming to reduce stigma and support prisoners serving minimal sentences.
The Crime Check Foundation, led by Ibrahim Oppong Kwarteng, uses its fine-paying scheme to assist individuals who cannot afford court fines, contributing to decongesting prisons and advocating for alternative sentencing for minor offenses.
