ELECTIONS ARE NOT WON ON SOCIAL MEDIA, BAWUMIA WILL WIN 2024 ELECTIONS – Ursula Owusu Declares

Prior to the general elections of 2024, the Minister of Communications and Digitization, Ursula Owusu-Ekuful revealed that the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) is unfazed by internet surveys.

She called the numerous online polls that show Dr Mahamudu Bawumia trailing National Democratic Congressman (NDC) John Drama Mahama a hoax.

Although the elections will not take place on social media, she claims that the majority of opinions regarding the NPP’s defeat are expressed there.

According to her, if elections were held on social media, Peter Obi, the leader of the Labour Party of Nigeria, would have been elected president by now because he was receiving a lot of attention there before the most recent elections in Nigeria.

Ursula Owusu-Ekuful, who is also the Member of Parliament for Ablekuma West, added that it is at the polling stations that the elections would be won.

“The job is on the ground… when people are making noise, I ask who has seen a ballot box on social media before? Have you ever seen voting taking place on Facebook or Instagram?

“We vote at the polling station; so, if you have something to show do it there, it is not about the noise. If it is about noise on social media, then Peter Obi would be the president of Nigeria by now. So, let’s be patient because the work is on the ground,” she said in Twi in an interview on Adom FM.

The lawmaker from Ablekuma West further argued that Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s administration had done admirably well in practically every area of the economy and that he would go down in history as one of Ghana’s greatest presidents ever.

She stated that although Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, the late first president of Ghana, and former President John Agyekum Kufuor were regarded as the worst presidents in their day, opinions of them now change.
