Renowned Ghanaian actress and fashionista,Nana Akua Addo, a Ghanaian actress and fashion influencer, has advised celebrities to refrain from appearing on red carpets while clutching their phones and car keys.

During a recent interview with Berla Mundi on the Day Show, Nana Akua emphasized that the red carpet should be used to showcase elegance and make a fashion statement, rather than being a casual event where ordinary items are displayed.

She described the tradition of bringing cellphones and car keys on the red carpet as “outdated,” emphasizing that it is not suitable.

As per the media personality, Nigerians are breaking fashion boundaries by showcasing how they handle their phones and car keys on the red carpet. .

We should cease carrying our phones and car keys to the red carpet; it’s outdated. Sometimes, you attend a red-carpet event and notice individuals with their phones, and need to tell them to hand them over to their personal assistant or someone.
Where Nigerians are taking fashion to is on a different level, they are advancing…utterly professional. Their personal assistants and aides are present, ensuring that everything is taken care of before you step onto the red carpet. The focus is just you, your brand, what you are wearing attire; nothing else,” she said on June 2.
Nana Akua Addo argued that moments of red carpet are to showcase design and what you are wearing not the material things.
