‘I WAS ARRESTED EVERY WEEK’ – Dr. Likee Opens Up About His Past Dealings In Drugs Trade

Ghanaian actor and skit maker, Ebenezer Akwasi Antwi, popularly known as Dr. Likee has disclosed astonishing information about his previous experiences.

Dr. Likee reminisced about his past and revealed his participation in illegal drug trafficking.

The creator of the skit mentioned this during an interview with Emelia Brobbey on her show called Okukuseku.

After leaving high school, Dr. Likee struggled to make a living and worked as a scrap dealer before eventually becoming a landguard.

He claims that he got involved in drug trafficking after being introduced by a man he calls his boss, who came from the United States.

Desperately seeking money and a job, Dr. Likee claimed he entered into the illegal drug trade and started earning enough to live a lavish life.

During the interview, Dr. Likee mentioned that he had advised former prisoners to refrain from committing armed robbery and instead consider selling drugs, as robbery could result in death, unlike the illegal drug business.

“When you are on the street, the idea is to make money, and there are ways to do so without necessarily engaging in armed robbery. So if you are bold, you can engage in dealing with illicit drugs. Every week I used to go to the police station because I was arrested,”

Dr. Likee continued. “I could even introduce someone who has come out of prison to the illicit drug business instead of the person engaging in thievery. With the drugs, they don’t beat you when arrested, but with robbery, you could be crushed to death. The drug business was very lucrative.”

He mentioned that there was a time when he did not trust anyone, not even his mother and girlfriend, because of the nature of his business dealings.

He told a story about how his close friend accused him of being an armed robber because he stayed home during the day and worked at night.

He claims to have been found guilty six times for selling drugs, stating that he was betrayed by his supposed friends.

Dr. Likee has successfully turned his previous setbacks around to establish himself as a popular actor in the Kumawood sector.

He has continued to stay prominent in the entertainment business primarily through his comedy sketches on YouTube.
