THE FIRST MONEY I MADE FROM YOUTUBE WAS $20K – Dr Likee

Ghanaian YouTuber, Dr Likee, disclosed the sum of money he initially withdrew from his YouTube account.

During the interview, Dr. Likee talked about how Wode Maya, a well-known Ghanaian YouTuber, played a key role in helping him make his initial $20,000 from YouTube.

Dr. Likee remembered a meeting with Wode Maya in China, during which the acclaimed YouTuber gave him valuable advice on how to begin his own YouTube channel.

Despite feeling sad and overwhelmed after the conversation, his lack of formal education did not deter him from deciding to give it a try when he got back to Ghana.

“Some of my colleagues laughed at me and said I was a senior in the industry and shouldn’t be doing those things. But I knew my end game, and it paid off.”

Although some of his colleagues mocked him for being too well-known in the industry to start a YouTube channel, the actor stated that he stayed determined to achieve his goal.

He stated that his perseverance paid off when he eventually saw the results of his hard work.

Dr. Likee shared his first visit to the bank to withdraw his YouTube earnings, which was an intriguing experience with Wode Maya’s guidance.

The first day Wode Maya directed me to the bank to take the money, I felt it was a trap because the money was too huge,” – he revealed.

“However, after I walked out safely, I went to lock myself in my room and counted the money, which amounted to $20,000. I instantly called Wode Maya to thank him,” he added.
