THE LOWEST AMOUNT I’VE BEEN PAID AS AN ACTOR IS GH₵4000 – Adjetey Anang

Celebrated Ghanaian actor, Adjetey Anang revealed that his smallest payment as an actor was GH₵4,000 in 2018.

In an interview on 3FM Lounge on Monday, July 8, he disclosed that he accepted the role in the film because he had faith in the content, not for monetary reasons.

He stated that it was the identical film that won him his initial Africa Magic Viewer’s Choice Awards (AMVCA) best actor prize.

“I’m talking of 2018. No, I’m not joking. You see it was one that I had believed in the content and that actually brought me my first AMVCA best actor award,” he told AJ Sarpong.

The respected actor also shared some tips on effectively creating movies to attract the Ghanaian audience.

Adjetey Anang also expressed his frustration with certain obstacles he encountered in the film industry, noting that he has starred in films with limited budgets but high-quality content.

“Well, lack of character development is an issue but because of my experience I’m able to hold it. It’s an issue but there’s always a way out. More so, the text when you realise there have not been more research because whatever we put out there is going to have implication on the audience,” he added.

Adjetey Anang has been featured in a new movie, ‘The Groomsmen’  which is set to be premiered on Friday, July 12 at the Silverbird Cinemas in Accra Mall.
