UK HOME OFFICE HAS OUTLINED THE PRISON SENTENCES FOR THOSE WHO TAKE PART IN VIOLENT PROTESTS

The UK Home Office has outlined the prison sentences for those who take part in violent protests saying: “Put simply: If you engage in violent protests, you will face the full force of the law.”

On X, they revealed that there will be prison sentences of up to 10 years if anyone engages in rioting and up to 5 years for violent disorder.

Persons who incite racial hatred will spend 7 years in jail.

Individuals causing disorder and rioting will have a prison place waiting for them the justice minister has said, as far-right violence continued in England and Northern Ireland for a seventh day.
