Award-winning gospel singer, Obaapa Christy has finally responded to allegations from her former husband, Pastor Love, that he was the one writing her songs when they were together.
In a one-on-one interview with Fiifi Pratt on Kingdom FM, Obaapa Christy categorically refuted the accusations, affirming that Pastor Love was not her songwriter.
Obaapa Christy, a celebrated figure in the Ghanaian gospel music scene, dismissed the claims, stating;
“Just like myself, Pastor Love is not academically sound, so it’s a lie that he was my songwriter.”
Even though she admitted Pastor Love had made important contributions to her career, she stressed that while he was crucial, his claim of being her songwriter was not true.
The singer’s remark follows years of speculation and discussion about Pastor Love’s role in her music career.
