Gospel songstress, Joyce Blessing has affirmed that she has not abandoned hope for love and marriage, despite her past struggles with marriage.
During an interview on 3FM’s Drive on September 3, Joyce Blessing mentioned that despite her negative past with love and marriage, she remains willing to get married again because she believes it is a wonderful thing.
The highly acclaimed gospel singer recommended that individuals should only pursue relationships that allow them to keep their peace of mind, rather than constantly trying to please their partners.
“What I have been through and my past experience, I will use it to protect the new one that I’m going to enter in. I think marriage is a beautiful thing, love is a beautiful thing, I believe that when you meet one who understands you and loves you just as you are and you can be yourself every time, it’s very important.
“Not one that you are trying to be someone and please the person which even you cannot do it but by force you want to,” she told Giovani Caleb.
Joyce Blessing and her ex-husband, who used to be her manager, ended their nearly ten-year marriage. The divorce was said to be caused by both of them having affairs outside of their marriage. They had a total of three children during their marriage.
