INTERIOR MINISTRY OPENS MONTH-LONG RECRUITMENT FOR SECURITY AGENCIES
Application Portal for Police, Fire Service, Prisons, and Immigration Opens November 15; Public Warned Against Fraudsters

The Ministry of the Interior has officially announced a nationwide recruitment drive for the country’s internal security agencies, set to begin on Saturday, November 15, and close on Monday, December 15, 2025.
The month-long exercise is open for enlistment into the Ghana Police Service, Ghana Prisons Service, Ghana National Fire Service, and the Ghana Immigration Service. In a public statement, the Ministry stated that the recruitment is a key part of the government’s ongoing strategy to strengthen internal security, enhance public safety, and boost the operational efficiency of these vital institutions.
The Ministry is calling on “disciplined, patriotic, and service-minded Ghanaians who wish to serve the nation with honour, integrity, and professionalism” to submit their applications within the specified window.
Prospective applicants have been urged to meticulously read the application guidelines and ensure they meet all eligibility criteria before applying. The Ministry clarified that only shortlisted candidates will be contacted to proceed to the subsequent stages of the process, which include screening, aptitude tests, and background checks.
In a strong caution to the public, the Ministry warned against fraudulent activities by individuals posing as recruitment agents. It stressed that the process is free and that no individual or institution is authorized to collect money on behalf of the Ministry or any of the security agencies.
“The Ministry also warned the public against fraudulent recruitment agents and unauthorized intermediaries who demand payments in exchange for placement,” the statement read, adding that any applicant found engaging with such intermediaries will face automatic disqualification.
Furthermore, the Ministry stated that any candidate discovered submitting false information or forged documents will be immediately disqualified and prosecuted. The recruitment drive underscores the government’s commitment to building a more robust, professional, and accountable security apparatus to protect the lives and property of all citizens.
