Actor and aspiring politician John Dumelo has emphasized the need for a comprehensive investigation into the recent tragic accident involving the son of Archbishop Salifu Amoako, which resulted in the loss of two lives.
While refraining from passing judgment on the matter, Dumelo expressed the importance of allowing the police to fully investigate and ensure justice is served. “I want to see justice served. I don’t want to preempt anything, but of course, an accident has occurred. Let the law take its course and see where the case goes,” Dumelo remarked during the funeral service of one of the victims on October 23, 2024.
The parliamentary candidate for the Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency assured the public that he will closely monitor the case to ensure that the bereaved families find closure and that all responsible parties are held accountable.
Dumelo’s comments follow public calls for Archbishop Salifu Amoako’s son to face legal consequences due to his involvement in the fatal crash that occurred on October 12, 2024. CCTV footage of the incident revealed critical details about the accident, which claimed the lives of two young girls. The investigation remains ongoing, with increasing public interest in the outcome.
