Ghanaian politician and comedian, Fritz Baffour is urging Ghanaians to adopt a forward-thinking attitude towards comedy.
During an interview on The Lankai Show on Joy Prime, Fritz pointed out that Ghanaian comedy is hindered by the audience’s somewhat relaxed attitude towards appreciating it.
He believes that the majority of Ghanaians do not find the jokes of comedians funny when they are performing on stage. They only praise them when they encounter them in public.
While acknowledging the success of Ghanaian comedians, he suggested that the industry should be viewed as a business.
“Ghanaian comedians are good. I like DKB, I like OB Amponsah. KSM was a gem so I think that really it is about society looking at comedy as an enterprise in terms of investment in entertainment, the media and things like that,” he said.
