GURU HINTS HE MAY SOON BE ADDRESSED AS ‘ESQUIRE’
Rapper and Entrepreneur Reveals Ambition to Transition from Music to the Legal Profession

Ghanaian rapper and entrepreneur Maradona Yeboah Adjei, widely known as Guru NKZ, has hinted at a potential career shift from music to law.
Speaking in an interview on Okay FM on Monday, November 3, 2025, the musician disclosed that he is seriously considering a major transition that could soon see him using the respected legal title of ‘Esquire’.
“My dream is about to change, but I want to really be sure of it before I can publicly discuss it,” Guru told the host. He expressed confidence in his ability to make the switch, stating, “I think things will go well bit by bit, considering where I went to get my knowledge, the switch wouldn’t be difficult.”
While he remains passionate about music, the artist indicated that his personal ambitions are evolving. He shared that he has been undertaking quiet but deliberate academic and mental preparations for this new chapter, though he did not provide specific timelines or name the institutions involved.
“Don’t be surprised when you hear I’m addressed as an esquire in the near future,” he teased. “I’m on that path, but I’m still thinking and planning, so for now, I don’t want to reveal much.”
The announcement has sparked speculation about Guru’s future plans, suggesting that the multi-talented artist may be looking to channel his energies into the legal field, potentially following in the footsteps of other Ghanaian celebrities who have successfully transitioned into law.
