Sally Mann has spoken out about the criticism she received from Stonebwoy’s supporters in response to her remarks about the Dancehall musician.
During a conversation with Hitz FM on November 22, 2024, Mann characterized Stonebwoy’s followers as “naive” and emphasized that her comments were not intended to undermine his accomplishments.
Controversy erupted when she spoke about the entertainment industry’s apparent preference for Stonebwoy over Shatta Wale. She condemned Shatta Wale for his lack of respect towards media personalities and highlighted that numerous individuals in the music industry were showing support for Stonebwoy, advocating for him to receive a Grammy nomination.
Nevertheless, a few of Stonebwoy’s fans misunderstood her comments, believing she was implying that his success was not deserved but instead was a result of publicity from the media.
In her response, Mann clarified, “I never discredited Stonebwoy’s accomplishments. They are insulting themselves, those BHIM fans are very gullible.”
She went on to clarify that her remarks were made during a more extensive conversation in which she commended Stonebwoy’s efforts and called for him to be given additional backing.
