Following their inability to include their own candidate on the ballot papers, the Peoples National Convention (PNC) has decided to support John Dramani Mahama, who is the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
“So today’s meeting and its declaration settle matters because there are no oppositions whatsoever to this call and no one was persuaded to take that decision, and I think that you took that decision by your own effort and you deserve an applause,” he said.
On the parliamentary candidates they have across the country, he said “The parliamentary candidates that we have across the country, the party will continue to support them. We are hopeful that we will win if not all of the 26 that we have filed to be fully represented in the 2024/2025 Parliament. This declaration sits well with all of us”.
