Fiifi Kwetey, the Chief Scribe of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has expressed his discontent regarding the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) failure to recognize the contributions of the NDC in the development of Terminal 3 during the inauguration of the E-gates. Mr. Kwetey criticized the ruling party for not extending an invitation to the NDC for the commissioning of the project, despite the fact that it was the NDC that originally constructed Terminal 3.
He expressed concern that the NPP’s presentation at the unveiling of the E-Gates suggested that they were solely responsible for the entire project.
“Admit that this project was carried out by your predecessor,” Mr Kwetey said, expressing his frustration. “When you were commissioning it, you didn’t even bother to invite those who actually built Terminal 3.”
He went on to highlight his personal exclusion from the event. “Even I, as the former Minister for Transport, wasn’t invited.
And yet, you bring a whole convoy to commission this mediocre project, the E-Gates, without the humility to acknowledge those who constructed Terminal 3,” he added.
The General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) also commented on the railway project connecting Tema to Npakadan, highlighting that it was entirely an initiative of the NDC, funded during the party’s tenure in office. He criticized the New Patriotic Party (NPP) for claiming sole credit for the completion of the railway, without acknowledging the extensive efforts that contributed to its finalization.
