former Kuami Eugene, whose real name is Eugene Kwame Marfo, has claimed that he has earned substantial wealth that ensures he will never face poverty if he chooses to stop making music.
In a one-on-one interview with Amansan Krakye, the singer, songwriter and producer stated that he creates music not solely for financial gain but out of passion and to establish a lasting legacy.
He remarked “Maybe if we talk about finances or monetary terms like someone who has achieved so much fortune from music then as for that one I could stop doing music.
“Because I think that I have been able to accumulate so much money that if I decide to stop doing music today I would never be poor or go hungry”. He revealed.
“But doing music for me is not just about making money but the passion is also part of it and the love for the music and to put information out there all the time.
I want people to listen to my music in the morning and feel inspired or motivated to work and so if I stop doing music all these messages from me won’t be fulfilled.
So it’s not all about money but as for the money by the grace of God I have acquired a lot but it’s about leaving behind a legacy for my songs to be played even at my old age,” he added.
