Frank Annoh-Dompreh has been declared the winner of the Nsawam Adoagyiri Parliamentary seat.
This was announced during the recollation exercise on Saturday, December 21.
He polled 29,640 of the total votes cast.
His closest contender from the NDC polled 29,433 votes.
“I dedicate this victory to the almighty,” he told journalists after being declared winner
This declaration comes after the High Court directed the Electoral Commission (EC) to re-collate and declare the results for several constituencies, including Ablekuma North and Nsawam-Adoagyiri, despite previous results having been announced.
Aggrieved parliamentary candidates from both the NDC and NPP had filed a writ seeking to compel the EC to conduct fresh elections in these constituencies, citing anomalies in the collation process and the declaration of winners.
