Prophet Kofi Oduro has responded to a viral video that triggered extensive speculation regarding his supposed comments about President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
During a sermon at his church, Prophet Oduro clarified the matter, decisively rejecting the idea that his remarks were aimed at the President.
The video being discussed shows Prophet Oduro referring to a “Nana” as a fool, prompting many to believe that his remarks were directed towards the current President.
However, the man of God explained that his comments were aimed at traditional chiefs who permit the degradation of their lands due to illegal mining, commonly referred to as galamsey.
“I was not referring to President Nana Addo in that video. I have too much respect and admiration for him to insult or mock him,” Prophet Oduro stated emphatically.
Prophet Oduro clarified that his forceful words were aimed at chiefs who had neglected their responsibility to safeguard their territories and the ecosystem.
He condemned the involvement of traditional leaders in the galamsey crisis, which has inflicted considerable damage on Ghana’s natural resources and ecosystems.
In his sermon, Prophet Oduro also addressed the difficulties that leaders encounter, especially when in the presence of people who hesitate to express the truth.
He remarked, “The only group of people who don’t like Nana Addo are those closest to him because they are too scared to tell him the truth.
