Ghanaian dancehall icon Shatta Wale has clarified that Blakk Cedi, Stonebwoy’s former manager, is not part of his management team, dispelling speculations that surfaced following his recent performance in Jamaica.
The rumors gained traction after Blakk Cedi shared a heartfelt social media post thanking Shatta Wale for involving him in the success of the Vybz Kartel Freedom Street Concert. In his post, Blakk Cedi expressed gratitude for the opportunity to contribute to the event, describing the experience as an honor.
Despite this, Shatta Wale, speaking to JoyNews’ Becky at the Kotoka International Airport on January 8, 2025, confirmed that Blakk Cedi’s role was temporary, emphasizing that Sammy Flex remains his manager.
“Blakk Cedi only stepped in to help during the Jamaica concert, much like JoyNews coming to interview me here. He’s done well, and I appreciate his support, but Sammy Flex is still my manager,” Shatta Wale said.
The “Gringo” hitmaker also expressed appreciation to his fans for their unwavering support, promising to deliver more music and launch new ventures in 2025.
