The Operation Recover All Loot (ORAL) Committee has pinpointed 36 notable cases that could reclaim an astonishing $20.49 billion in misused public funds, as stated by Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, the Minister for Foreign Affairs.
On Monday, February 10, 2025, while presenting ORAL’s final report to President John Dramani Mahama, Mr. Ablakwa revealed that the committee had gathered 2,417 complaints from both individuals and Civil Society Organisations (CSOs).
This comprised 1,493 toll-free calls and 924 emails, all meticulously documented and kept for validation.
“The data suggests that with just 36 carefully investigated cases, Ghana can potentially recover $20.49 billion in stolen or misused state resources,” Ablakwa revealed.
