The Ghana Water Company Limited has dismissed all hires made in November 2024 and assigned to the different regions.
The suspension also impacts all employees who are not on the payroll by January 2025.
A letter dated February 11, 2025, signed by Acting Managing Director Adam Mutawakilu, stated that the suspension is intended to facilitate a thorough audit of the procedure that resulted in their engagement.
The instruction follows claims that the Chief of Staff has mandated the end of all appointments following the December 7 elections.
