Andrew Nii Commey Otoo, known in the entertainment industry as Mr. Drew, disagrees with the claim that Ghanaian songs are only popular within Ghana.
George Britton, a respected Ghanaian media expert living in the UK, recently commented that music from Ghanaian artists doesn’t make it to neighboring countries.
Mr. Drew, an award-winning singer, strongly believes that Ghanaian musicians are putting in a lot of effort, and he insists it is not true that their songs fail to reach places like Togo.
“I don’t think that’s true that our songs don’t even cross to Togo or Ivory Coast but I think that we are trying our best,” he responded in an interview with Amansan Krakye.
“Rome wasn’t built in one day so we are not going to have everything happening in one day so it’s bits by bits everything will be okay.
“So we the Ghanaian artists are trying our best but as to whether Ghanaian songs are just in Ghana I don’t agree,” he revealed as MyNewsGh.com monitored.
