Minister of Communications, Sam George has fired back at Bice Osei Kuffour, widely known as Obour, who used to be the Managing Director of Ghana Post. Obour had called for a pause in the firing of workers and asked for reconsideration.
Obour believes that the recruitment of these workers was done in the right way.
He insists it was legal and well-documented. He has asked the minister to reassess the decision to dismiss the workers.
“Obour has offered to help. His offer is welcome. Not to explain post-December 7th, 2024, recruitment but rather the shady deals he engaged in as MD of Ghana Post,” Sam George stated.
“He would have his hands full soon in explaining his deeds at Ghana Post. He should exercise some patience.”
During an interview on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen program, Obour explained that every required step was properly followed.
He also stated that all records related to the hiring process had been provided to the government.
“The due processes were followed with the recruitment process, and I believe he will rescind the decision if he goes through the documents. So, I will plead with him,” Obour said.
