POLICE RESCUE PREGNANT NIGERIAN TEENAGER AFTER BEING TRAFFICKED TO GHANA AND SE.XUALLY EXPLOITED, SUSPECT ARRESTED

A 15-year-old Nigerian girl who had been trafficked to Tarkwa for sexual exploitation has been saved by the Western Central Regional Police. Joy Ogbonna, a 25-year-old lady, is detained due to her purported involvement.

Ogbonno Onuigbo, the victim’s father, filed a missing person’s report after his daughter vanished from Nigeria in October.

The case broke open when, as police explained, “the victim later called him on the 24th of October 2025, revealing that she had been trafficked and abused in Ghana.”

According to investigations, the adolescent was tricked into travelling from Enugu to Lagos with a fictitious work offer before being given to Ogbonna, who then took her to Ghana.

The defendant “confined the victim in a room, forced her into sex work, and collected the proceeds,” according to the police.

The victim is five weeks pregnant, according to a medical assessment. Golden Blessing, an accomplice who is thought to be in Nigeria, is currently being sought by the authorities.
