D-CRYME STANDS FOR SRC PRESIDENT AT METHODIST UNIVERSITY

Ghanaian musician, D Cryme, has officially announced his intention to contest for the position of President of the Student Representative Council (SRC) of the Methodist University.

D Cryme, born Darlington Agyekum, took to his official Instagram handle to make his intent known to the general public.

In his official release, the Tema-based rapper and singer established that given the nod to lead the SRC as president, he will champion effective student representation and enhanced student welfare initiatives and ensure that the voice of every student is heard and valued.

Part of his release reads;

“Fellow students of Methodist University Ghana, Tema Campus,
With humility, passion, and an unshakable commitment to student empowerment, I, Darlington Agyekum, proudly declare my intent to contest for the position of President of the Student Representative Council (SRC).

Our university is more than just a place of learning; it is a thriving community where ideas, dreams, and aspirations come to life. Over the years, I have dedicated myself to making meaningful contributions to this institution.

From pioneering the Wall of Fame, which honors outstanding administrators and lecturers, to launching the Digital Screen Initiative, which enhances communication and engagement across campus, my leadership will always be about innovation, inclusivity, and impact.

My vision for the SRC is bold, dynamic, and driven by the needs of every student. If elected as your SRC President, I will champion transformative policies under six key pillars:

Transparency and Accountability

Academic support and resources

Student welfare, wellbeing, Financial support and scholarship

Campus infrastructure, development, environmental sustainability

Student Engagement, Participation, governance and representation Campus Safety and security”
