Former flagbearer aspirant of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kennedy Ohene Agyapong has stated that if nominations are made available, he is willing to run for flagbearership once more.
Despite reported intimidation from individuals from other groups who have expressed interest in the contest, he said his team remains steadfast.
Mr. Agyapong was speaking after declaring that he would not be participating in the party’s “Thank You Tour” after one of his followers was stabbed in Kumasi.
The teenage supporter allegedly suffered a stab wound after thwarting thugs’ attempts to seize a $200 gift from Kennedy Agyapong’s pal.
The tough-talking politician is adamant about fighting for the student’s justice despite refusing to address accusations and claimed assaults.
“I am taking this opportunity to inform all that I am going to contest; nobody can stop me from doing that. They should be ready. We were part of those who built the party and sacrificed for it,” he said.
He added that, “we will also regroup ourselves, in the appropriate time we will do whatever we have to do for the party, and anything that will improve our chances.”
