The announcement instils fresh hope in numerous nursing students who have been eagerly awaiting for several months, as July is now identified as the anticipated month for payment.
“I can assure you, your ‘allawa’ is being worked on and by next month, you’ll start receiving payment,” he stated, drawing cheers from the crowd.
Mahama has promised nursing trainees nationwide that their anticipated allowances, commonly referred to as ‘allawa’, will start being deposited into their accounts next month.
Speaking to a gathering of chiefs at Nalerigu during his ‘Thank You Tour’ of the North East Region, Mahama stated that all essential procedures for the distribution have been completed.
