NEW AYAWASO EAST MP BABA JAMAL ALLEGEDLY CAUGHT SLEEPING IN PARLIAMENT ON FIRST DAY AFTER HIS SWEARING-IN

Just days after clinching the Ayawaso East by-election, Baba Jamal was spotted dozing off in Parliament shortly after being sworn in as the constituency’s new MP.

The former Akwatia MP secured the Ayawaso East seat in the March 3 by-election and officially took his oath in Ghana’s Parliament this week.

A photo from the chamber captured the unexpected moment, showing him asleep not long after the ceremony.

Baba Jamal’s victory came following the passing of the constituency’s former MP, Naser Toure Mahama, which prompted the by-election.
