A HEARTBREAKING FAREWELL: Joe Mettle Mourns The Loss Of Gospel Legend KODA

Renowned gospel musician Joe Mettle has opened up about the emotional toll the death of his colleague and friend, Kofi Owusu Dua-Anto, popularly known as KODA, has had on him. The two musicians, known for their deep friendship and shared passion for gospel music, have left Joe Mettle grappling with the heart-wrenching news.

Speaking on Joy Prime’s Changes show with host Roselyn Felli which was monitored by Nkonkonsa.com, Joe Mettle reflected on how he’s been handling the loss. “It was a difficult moment and still is,” he confessed, as he remembered the cherished times he spent with KODA. Despite the overwhelming sense of grief, Mettle noted that the memories of KODA often make it feel as though he’s still present. “Sometimes we’re still living in denial… once in a while you have the awareness that he really is gone,” Mettle shared somberly.

The late KODA, a celebrated gospel musician best known for his hit song Hossana, passed away, leaving a void in the hearts of his family, friends, and fans. Joe Mettle, expressing his deep faith, believes that KODA’s passing was part of God’s plan and trusts that he is resting peacefully in God’s bosom.

Fans and sympathizers are expected to gather for the final funeral rites, which are scheduled for Friday, September 20, 2024, at the KICC Dominion Center, off Spintex Road, Accra. This event will serve as a final farewell to the beloved gospel icon.

The entire gospel music fraternity, along with KODA’s family and fans, will come together to celebrate the life of a man whose music touched countless lives. The public is encouraged to attend, dressed in all white, as they honor KODA’s remarkable legacy.
