A LOT OF GHANAIAN LADIES HAVE RESORTED TO ‘HOOK-UP’ BECAUSE OF ECONOMIC HARDSHIP – Gospel Musician, Broda Sammy

Ghanaian gospel artist Broda Sammy has shared his concerns about the economic hardships affecting the country and their impact on personal relationships.

In an interview on Showbiz 360 on TV3, he noted that many women have turned to “hook-up” culture as a means of coping with financial difficulties.

“A lot of our ladies have turned to ‘hook-up’ because of the economic hardship in the country. For real,” Broda Sammy stated.

He stated that many ladies have placed financial benefits over emotional connections in order to make ends meet.

“At first, if you wanted to propose to a lady, you could tell her ‘I love you’ and she would reply with ‘I love you too’. Now, if you tell a lady, ‘I love you’ she would reply with ‘My phone is damaged, give me money to fix it’,” he explained. “Nobody has time for feelings again.”

He further noted the sad occurrence of people leaving the country in search of better opportunities.

“If you go to the airport, it’s like everyone is running away from the country,” he observed.

Broda Sammy expressed his hope for better economic conditions, stating, “We pray that things would get better.”
